G&S Insurance, a proudly Alberton company, on October I marked the remarkable milestone of 36 years of delivering outstanding insurance services and fostering lasting relationships within the community. Founded in 1988 by Gawie van der Walt, G&S Insurance’s journey began with a simple yet powerful vision of providing exceptional service while building trust and personal connections.
Van der Walt’s initial door-to-door approach laid the foundation for a client- centric approach. Johan Steyn, general manager, said: “G&S success IS deeply rooted in the Alberton community, we are grateful for the support we have received over the years and are determined to give back.” Over the years, G&S Insurance expanded beyond its humble beginnings, driven by a commitment to understanding its clients’ needs.
The team grew with the addition of assistants G&S Brokers management and advisors, paving the way for new community opportunities. Notably, more than half of the team has served G&S for over 10 years, with seven members exceeding 20 years This dedication reflects the company’s strong bond with clients and the community. G&S Insurance prioritises community development through initiatives like its annual school leaver program.
“One initiative of G&S is to take in school leavers from our community each year. I believe if you give your community opportunities to develop, the opportunities will be returned to you,” said Van der Walt. “This initiative not only provides valuable work experience for young individuals but also strengthens our community ties,” he added.
